We’ll ride over the Hampton Ridge, one of the highest points in the New Forest with beautiful views over to the north and south of the Forest. We’ll pause at Abbots Well and Rose Cottage, the 2025 winner of the National Parks Conservation Project before stopping at the Potting Shed In Hyde, one of my favourite places to eat in the Forest.
For those that want a snack for later, we’ll swing by Hockeys Farm shop for an award winning, pannage pork sausage roll before heading back to Ashurst via the Woods Cylcery.
The New Forest is perfect for riding at this time of year as we have miles of gravel tracks, no peanut butter mud here!
For those driving, parking is available at Ashurst Train Station for £1 for the whole day.
